SPEEDTRAP ALERT is a driving assistance application that has been designed to provide alerts for road hazards and speed cameras, and other information for safe driving.

The information provided by the application is not intended to replace the traffic information perceived by the driver (traffic signs, traffic lights, etc.), nor to infringe the rules of conduct according to the highway code of the country where you are traveling.

What data does the application have access to.

SPEEDTRAP ALERT only requests access permissions that are necessary for correct functioning. These are your fine and coarse location and, optionally, access to your phone storage if you are going to load your own database of road data. The application has no access to any personal data (name, phone, e-mail, contacts, etc.) The application has access to your location when it works in the background together with other applications on the top (like step-by-step navigation.)

What data we collect.

We collect only anonymized data. When a speed camera or other point is reported, the application will store in an online database your application ID, location, and time of this point. These points will be shown in other users’ maps of the app, and they will be able to vote on them. Application ID is the random, unique identifier, automatically generated when the newly installed application starts for the very first time. We use it to distinguish reported points in the database and for usage statistics. We do not share the data we collect.

Ads and cookies.

SPEEDTRAP ALERT does not display any ads and does not use cookies.

Disclaimer.

This Application is provided without any additional warranties in relation to quality, reliability, compatibility, safety, effectiveness, function of purpose, accuracy or detail, as well as the absence of violations of legal regulations that may be associated with its use.

Use of the Application implies the following:

• You accept the risk you take when using this Application.
• You accept the consequences that may entail using any of the services of this Application, regardless of the function or purpose of use.
• You accept responsibility for damage that may be incurred as a result of the use of another user or a third party.
• You release the Developer from any liability for negative results or undesirable consequences associated with any kind of violation of the law.
• You are responsible for any illegal use of the Application that violates applicable regulations.

Cancellation of services.

You have the right to cancel all services of this Application at any time by removing the Application from your device.
